MILK FILMING STARTING IN THE CASTRO!!!

So over the last few weeks, an amazing transformation has been occuring within the confines of the Castro.

It is getting prepped and prettied up for the filming of the upcoming movie MILK starring Sean Penn and being filmed by Gus Van Sant.

All of the street vendors have signs letting people know they are still open, even though their fronts look totally different.

Harvey Milk's original Camera shop has been / is being restored!!!

Aquarius Records?!?!?! What are records?!?!?!

Hot Cookie has become Double Rainbow.

440 / Daddy's has become Toad Hall.

(although sometimes it should still be called that.)

And the Castro Theatre is being restored to it's 70's brilliance. I actually can't wait till this is done and I can get some great night shots...
