THE SCARIEST PHONE CALL I COULD HAVE GOTTEN...
"Hi, it's your mom. I'm in the hospital. They tell me I have internal bleeding and have to have surgery. Love you! " CLICK!
Needless to say I just about lost it. Found out where she was, (mom doesn't believe in owning a cell phone---but that's all about to change!) and drove up to Santa Rosa on Friday as quickly as I possibly could.
She is good.
Has 7 bleeding ulcers--due to the medication she's currently on---type 2 diabetic.
She'll be out in a couple of days.
Needless to say I'm watching her house, dog (big black furball from hell) and can't sleep worth a damn.
I had to find a computer in a public library to get my email and post and such.
ugh!!
I'm so friggin frazzled.
It's gonna be a long week.

Wow, that is scary. I have to say cell phones are the way to go now.
ReplyDeleteI cringe each time mine rings and the number listed is "withheld" because it might be the parents.
Glad to hear she's okay, and glad to hear you're connecting her to the 21st century with the cell, and making your life a little less frantic with it.
